Abo among four winners in Canadian power-to-X process

Abo Wind Canada is one of four groups to win development rights for a power-to-X projects in Canadian province Newfoundland & Labrador.

The company said its winning Toqlukuti’k Wind and Hydrogen scheme was intended to produce green ammonia for export globally. It has secured development rights for the land through the provincial government's Crown Land Call for Bids for Wind Energy Projects process.

The other winners in the process were EverWind, which secured consent for a project on the Burin Peninsula; Exploits Valley Renewable Energy Corporation, which won backing for a green hydrogen and ammonia production facility in Botwood, Newfoundland; and World Energy GH2, which is planning a three-phase wind-to-hydrogen development.
