AES signs 154MW PPA with Microsoft in Brazil

AES Brasil has signed a 154MW power purchase agreement to supply Microsoft with power produced by the 1.4GW Cajuína wind project in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.

AES is due to start supplying electricity under the 15-year PPA from July 2024. Construction work is underway on 684MW of the Cajuína complex. This phase of the project is due to be commissioned later this year.
