AlphaStruxure to build JFK Airport microgrid
In what it’s claimed will set a “new standard for large-scale renewable development in the air transit sector”, AlphaStruxure has signed an agreement to design, construct, and operate integrated microgrid infrastructure – including solar and battery storage – at the New Terminal One (NTO) at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The 11.34MW microgrid will include 7.66MW of rooftop solar, 3.68MW of fuel cells, 2MW / 4MWh of battery energy storage.
