Belgium plans green hydrogen port upgrades
The Belgian government will this month begin seeking proposals to upgrade its ports to prepare Belgium to be a gateway for green hydrogen imports.
Belgian Energy Minister Tinne Van der Straeten said last week that the government would launch a call for projects this month, which it is looking to back with €10m of investment. The government is particularly focused on upgrades to Antwerp-Bruges port and has already signed a memorandum of understanding to import green hydrogen from Chile.
