Bharti Airtel buys green power from India duo

Indian telecoms firm Bharti Airtel is buying a stake in a project company set up by Continuum Energy to use wind and solar power for its data centre arm Nxtra.

Nxtra will use the electricity from the Continuum subsidiary to power its data centres in India's Madhya Pradesh region. Bharti Airtel has also signed a similar deal with Vibrant Energy for solar power for a data centre in Vijaywada, Andhya Pradesh.
