Centrica eyes H2 hub at Easington terminal

Centrica explores the conversion of its Easington terminal in East Yorkshire into a low-carbon hydrogen plant, in collaboration with Wood and Equinor.

Centrica Storage is working on plans to convert its Easington gas processing terminal in UK county East Yorkshire into a low-carbon hydrogen plant.

Centrica is working with Wood to evaluate the potential to convert the facility as part of the redevelopment of its Rough gas field. It also entered into a partnership with Equinor in 2022 to develop low-carbon hydrogen infrastructure in Easington.
