Cerulean plots £20bn North Sea grid
Developers Cerulean Winds and Frontier Power are planning a £20bn floating wind and transmission network in the North Sea to power offshore oil and gas production.
The companies' North Sea Renewables Grid project includes hundreds of floating turbines with headline capacity of "multiple GW" and an offshore transmission system. The project's delivery consortium includes DEME, NOV, Siemens Energy, Siemens Gamesa and Worley.
