CIP closes €1bn renewables debt fund

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has achieved a €1bn final close for a renewables project finance debt fund aimed at Europe, North America and some parts of Asia-Pacific.

The fund is focused on direct investments in greenfield and brownfield renewable energy infrastructure projects; and has already closed three investments totalling €236m. Separately, CIP has announced a €750m close of its Advanced Bioenergy Fund 1.
