Denmark refuses 24 offshore projects

The Danish government has refused 24 of the 33 offshore wind projects that were proposed under its 'open door' permitting scheme.

Industry association Green Power Denmark has warned that this would result in the loss of at least 12GW of offshore wind production. It added that Denmark's planned offshore wind tenders could not replace this lost capacity, and said both approaches to tendering were needed.
