EDPR wins backing for 323MW Chilean hybrid

EDP Renewables has won backing from the Chilean government to develop a project with 323MW of wind and solar capacity, as well as battery storage.

The utility is developing the Taltal Wind Reserve project on 2,850 hectares of land in the Antofagasta region in northern Chile. The Chilean Ministry of National Assets has awarded EDPR the right to use the land for 40 years.
