Germany backs 1.5GW wind in latest tender

Germany's federal network agency awards support for 1.5GW of onshore wind projects in the latest undersubscribed auction, reaching a total of 3GW tendered in 2023.

Germany's federal network agency Bundesnetzagentur has awarded support for 1.5GW of onshore wind projects in its latest undersubscribed auction.

The agency reported that the 2.9GW tender was undersubscribed, and so it could award support for only 53% of the planned capacity. However, trade association Bundesverbund WindEnergie welcomed the fact that 3GW of onshore wind projects have now been tendered in 2023.
