Harmony and Envision sign UK storage deal

Energy storage investor Harmony Energy Income Trust has entered into contracts with Envision Energy for the supply, installation and maintenance of two-hour duration battery energy storage systems for the Wormald Green (33 MW / 66 MWh) and Hawthorn Pit (49.9 MW / 99.8 MWh) projects in the UK.

Harmony Energy said it had selected Envision following a tender process and the key factors which influenced the decision included “the ability to commit to required delivery dates; integrated cell manufacturing capabilities; track record in delivering 2-hour duration battery energy storage systems; and sustainability credentials”.

The Wormald Green project is in North Yorkshire, while the Hawthorn Pit project is in County Durham.
