HIF Global eyes 1GW Uruguayan project

Chilean fuel producer HIF Global is developing a 1GW green hydrogen and e-fuels project in the Paysandú region of Uruguay.

The project requires $2bn investment to create the plant and a further $2bn to develop the wind and solar farms needed to power it. Construction is due to begin in 2024.
