Hy2gen and Mitsui team up in Germany

Green hydrogen developer Hy2gen and shipping firm Mitsui OSK Lines have agreed to jointly study the potential to use e-methanol as a shipping fuel.

The e-methanol is set to come from Hy2gen's Nautilus production plant in Friesoythe in the Lower Saxony region of Germany. Production is due to start in early 2028.
