Jersey consults on 1GW offshore project

The government of Jersey in the Channel Islands will start consultation next month on a 1GW offshore wind project in the island's territorial waters.

The island's Council of Ministers is looking for public support for the project, which it said would be privately designed, funded and delivered by a consortium of experienced offshore wind developers. It added that it would look to bring forward legislation for the project in 2024 and identify the right developer in 2025.
