Lego to use e-methanol for greener bricks

Danish toy company Lego Group has signed an agreement with European Energy to use e-methanol in its plastic production processes.

European Energy is set to supply Lego with methanol produced using renewable energy so it can start replacing fossil-based plastic production processes with lower-carbon alternatives.

In addition, European has signed a deal with healthcare company Novo Nordisk to replace fossil-based plastics in medical devices such as insulin pens.
