Mitsubishi raises $692m for Laos project

A group led by Mitsubishi Corporation has secured a $692m financing package for the 600MW Monsoon onshore wind project in Laos, southeast Asia.

Mitsubishi announced that it has secured the package alongside its partners Asian Development Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and other lenders. Construction on the project is due to start in 2023 with completion scheduled for 2025.
