Mitsui buys into 304MW solar-powered e-methanol plant

Japanese conglomerate Mitsui & Co. is buying a 49% stake in the 304MW Kassø solar project with connected e-methanol production from European Energy.

The Kassø plant in Denmark is set to be the largest solar farm in northern Europe when it is commissioned next year, and is expected to product up to 42,000 tonnes of e-methanol annually.
