Moray West reaches £2bn financial close

Ocean Winds has achieved financial close for its £2bn 860MW Moray West offshore wind farm in Scottish waters.

This means offshore installation can start later this year ahead of commissioning in 2025. Ocean Winds is a joint venture between EDP Renewables and Engie, and is developing the project in partnership with minority shareholder Ignitis Group.
