Murphy blasts "outrageous" Ørsted cancellations

New Jersey governor Phil Murphy has blasted Ørsted's decision to cancel the 1.1GW Ocean Wind 1 and 1.15GW Ocean Wind 2 offshore projects as "outrageous".

The Danish utility has this week stopped development on the pair due to rising costs and supply chain challenges, and was "extremely disappointed". However, Murphy said the decision by Ørsted to "abandon its commitments to New Jersey is outrageous and calls into question the company's credibility and competence".
