NextEra switches on DuPont wind farm

NextEra Energy has commissioned the 135MW Appaloosa Run wind farm in Texas, which is supplying electricity to US chemicals giant DuPont.

The companies announced that DuPont had agreed a virtual power purchase agreement to buy electricity from the development in Upton County, Texas, in September 2021. The project is set to generate around 528,000MWh of electricity annually.
