Ørsted and Acciona form floating tie-up

Ørsted and Acciona have formed a partnership to work on innovations in floating foundations that can help take floating wind to commercial maturity.

The companies have today announced a partnership that is seeking to reduce the levelised cost of electricity (LCOE) and environmental footprint of floating wind; industrialise the way concrete foundations are made; and establish a European supply chain to support Ørsted's European floating wind projects.
