Ørsted loses CFO and COO in reshuffle
Ørsted's chief financial officer and chief operating officer have left with immediate effect as the utility struggles in a "challenging and volatile business environment".
The Danish utility has announced that CFO Daniel Lerup and COO Richard Hunter have left the company, and that replacements are due to be appointed in early 2024. Rasmus Errboe will serve as interim CFO while Olivia Breese acts as interim CEO of Europe, and board member Andrew Brown is interim COO.
Mads Nipper, group president and chief executive officer at Ørsted, said: “Ørsted, along with the rest of the industry, is experiencing a challenging and volatile business environment. Therefore, the Board of Directors and I have agreed with our current CFO and COO that we need new and different capabilities to lead the Finance and EPC & Operations functions to strengthen Ørsted’s journey into the future."
