Polenergia enters Romanian wind market

Polish utility Polenergia has agreed to enter the Romanian wind market by buying a majority stake in a subsidiary of Naxxar Renewable Energy.

Naxxar is developing a 685.6MW wind complex in Romania's Dobrogea region via its project company Naxxar Wind Farm Four Srl, in which Polenergia has agreed to buy a 60% stake. The deal allows for Polenergia to buy the remaining 40% stake in the project company in the second half of 2024.
