Posco could move overseas for 'green' steel
South Korean steelmaker Posco may move more of its steel production overseas if it cannot produce green hydrogen economically in its home country.
The company operates in 17 countries but produces most of its steel in South Korea; and has committed to making its steel production operations more sustainable by using green hydrogen.
However, producing green hydrogen in the Asian country may be too expensive due to local power prices, and Posco said this could prompt it to look overseas, including in Australia.
