PowerUp & Greensolver agree battery optimisation deal
Renewable energy asset management services company Greensolver and Paris-based battery storage analytics software provider PowerUp have formed a new five-year partnership that will provide PowerUp’s ‘Battery Insight’ offering to Greensolver’s clients to optimise the safety and performance monitoring of battery storage assets.
PowerUp’s ‘Battery Insight’ system uses “advanced algorithms to analyse field data from battery storage assets and optimise their performance and safety in a variety of use cases, including energy arbitrage, frequency regulation, and demand response”, a statement said.
PowerUp’s offering includes predictive safety indicators, with the intelligent alerting system able to detect battery defects and prevent irreversible damage “up to 12 months before standard solutions usually do,” the statement added.
Benoit Chambon, Greensolver head of asset management, said: “We are excited to partner with PowerUp to offer our clients a best-in-class battery analytics solution, as we continuously look to create environmental & financial value. The robustness of the algorithms and the rich set of features will enable critical, data-backed decision-making to maximise the value and lifetime of our assets under management.”
PowerUp CEO Abdelkrim Benamar added: ““PowerUp and Greensolver both thrive on being independent, performance-driven players supporting a clean energy transition that creates real value. Our common values give meaning to our partnership, and we look forward to onboarding asset owners, power producers and developers to help them better grasp the link between battery performance and overall project performance.”
