Renewable Connections' 42MW Scottish storage project approved

UK solar and battery storage developer Renewable Connections has been granted planning approval by Fife Council for the 42MW Balbougie Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) near Inverkeithing in Scotland.

The project will be built on land at South Pargillis, Clockluine Road, Hillend, Dunfermline. It will connect into the Inverkeithing Grid Supply Point.

Construction of the site is anticipated to commence in 2024.

Renewable Connections, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rivington Energy Limited, was established by sustainable energy investment specialist Armstrong Capital Management.
