RWE and Stanwell team up for 1.8GW duo

RWE and Australian energy group Stanwell have agreed to work together on two onshore wind farms totalling 1.8GW in Queensland, Australia.

The pair have signed a memorandum of understanding where Stanwell will investigate off-take deals and a potential equity investment in RWE's 1.1GW Theodore project and an unnamed 720MW early-stage development in southern Queensland.

The two projects are due to be commissioned in 2029.
