Sany launches 11MW onshore turbine model

Chinese turbine maker Sany Renewable Energy has launched the world's largest onshore wind turbine platform, with headline capacity of up to 11MW.

The company unveiled the 919 platform at the Husum Wind trade show in Germany. The modular turbines has a headline capacity of between 9.5MW and 11MW, with rotors ranging between 214 metres and 230 metres long.
