Sinopec plans Chinese green H2 pipeline

Chinese oil and gas giant Sinopec has announced plans for a 400km 'east to west' green hydrogen pipeline that it said would be the country's first.

Sinopec is planning to develop the pipeline to transport green hydrogen produced in the Inner Mongolia region to cities in eastern China, including Beijing. The pipeline is set to have initial capacity of 100,000 tonnes per year. Sinopec already operates similar pipelines for hydrogen produced using fossil fuels.
