Skovgaard and Sumitomo in ammonia tie-up

Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo has formed a joint venture with Danish developer Skovgaard Energy to collaborate on green ammonia production projects.

Skovgaard is developing a green ammonia plant in Denmark with Topsoe and Vestas, powered 100% by behind-the-meter wind and solar. This project is due to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2024. Sumitomo has committed to make an undisclosed level of investment in Skovgaard projects.
