Tamarindo is proud to support Restore Mental Health Charity, an organisation that supports people to take control of their recovery, develop skills, and lead meaningful lives. As a team, we believe in the importance of giving back to our community and supporting those in need. Through our partnership with Restore, we are able to do just that.
One of the Restore initiatives that we have had the opportunity to support is the Elder Stubbs Allotment, an innovative community-led initiative that promotes mental health and wellbeing through gardening and community involvement. The Elder Stubbs Allotment project is a beautiful example of how community involvement and green spaces can support positive mental health outcomes. The project provides a safe and inclusive environment for people experiencing mental health challenges to come together, connect with others, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of gardening. The Elder Stubbs Allotment project is also an example of sustainable and community-led urban agriculture. The project promotes the use of environmentally-friendly gardening techniques, and produces a range of fresh fruits and vegetables that are shared with the community.
Tamarindo has had the privilege of working with Restore on several occasions in 2023 through regular gardening sessions on the Elder Stubbs Allotment. Through our work with Restore, we have gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those experiencing mental health issues, as well as the incredible work being done by organisations like Restore to support and advocate for these individuals.
Our work with Restore has been both incredibly rewarding and fun! Volunteering our time and skills to support a cause that we believe in has been a powerful bonding experience for us. It has allowed us to connect with each other on a deeper level and to work together towards a common goal.
Overall, the Elder Stubbs Allotment project is an inspiring example of how community involvement and green spaces can promote positive mental health outcomes. We are proud to have had the opportunity to support Restore Mental Health Charity in their work on this project, and we look forward to seeing its continued success in the future.
