Sweetener firm Danisco signs green hydrogen deal

Danish sweetener maker Danisco has agreed to buy green hydrogen produced by Finnish firm P2X Solutions for use at its plant in Kotka, Finland.

P2X Solutions is set to start producing green hydrogen at a factory in Harjavalta, Finland, in 2024. Danisco will use the fuel in production processes for xylitol, which is a sugar substitute that Danisco sells under the brand name XIVIA.
