Vestas closes Q2 with 397MW European deals

Vestas has announced five European orders totalling 397MW to close the second quarter of its financial year.

The company has secured 151MW and 100MW orders in Spain from undisclosed customers; a 74MW order from construction group SIMIC for the Villacidro and Musei wind farms in Sicily; a 45MW order from EDF Renewables for the Karamoutzi and Karfoula wind farms in Greece; and a 27MW order from OX2 for the Eolia wind farm in Italy.

In addition, Vestas has picked up a 55MW deal from Renova for the Reihoku Amakusa wind project in Japan.
