Voltalia signs 37.4MW PPA with rail firm SNCF

French energy firm Voltalia has signed a long-term deal to supply a subsidiary of rail operator SNCF with electricity from a 37.4MW wind farm in France.

SNCF Energie has agreed to buy all of the electricity produced by the 17-turbine Rives Charentaises project in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The wind farm is due to be commissioned in the first half of 2024.
