Biography
Aashish Mohan is a Managing Director and Co-Head of BNP Paribas’ Energy, Resources & Infrastructure (ERI) Americas Group in New York. With 20 years of banking experience at BNP Paribas related to the energy and infrastructure sector in North America, Aashish is currently spearheading the bank’s efforts in growing project and infrastructure financing activities with a specific focus on the renewables and energy transition space. This includes projects related to offshore and onshore wind, utility scale and C&I solar PV, battery storage, geothermal and hydropower.
Prior to joining ERI, Aashish was leading the Americas Asset Finance & Securitization (AFS) Loan Syndicate Team; responsible for Energy & Commodities, Project, Infrastructure and Transportation Finance deals. During this time he syndicated over 250 loan transactions across project finance, commodity finance and leveraged finance deals. He has been involved in syndicating deals to a wide universe of banks and institutional investors .
Aashish’s early professional years were spent at an accounting firm in New Delhi India (M/S Sahni Natarajan & Bahl) as a team lead of their Internal Audit & Business Advisory Division. He worked with clients across consumer finance, hospitality, fast food and telecom providing advice on improving risk controls, operating efficiencies and management reporting.
Aashish received his M.B.A in Finance from New York University and has a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from the University of Delhi. He also holds a professional qualification in accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
