Biography
David Sale is Chief Executive Officer of Goldwind Americas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xinjiang Goldwind Science and Technology Co., Ltd. With more than 50+ gigawatts and 31,000 turbines installed globally, Goldwind is one of the world’s largest suppliers of wind turbines. David Sale serves as the company head for the North American region – charged with leading all organizational strategy, business development, service, capital and technology innovation for Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and Central America. Since assuming role of CEO in 2018, Mr. Sale has guided the company through critical milestones, including the installation of the tallest turbine in the U.S., financial closing of U.S. tax equity, the successful sale of Goldwind turbines and investment assets, and new market entry into Canada.Prior to joining Goldwind as Chief Executive Officer, David Sale served in both the fossil and renewable energy divisions of Siemens and later Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy for over 17 years. During his tenure at Siemens, Mr. Sale successfully lead commercial and technical sales teams in Canada, the U.S., Central and South America, resulting in the installation of more than 12 gigawatts of capacity in the Americas.Mr. Sale holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and is based at Goldwind’s North American headquarters in Chicago.
