Biography
James Heads CIBC’s U.S. Project Finance and Infrastructure business based out of Chicago/New York. He joined CIBC in 2020 and has 23 years of experience.
Prior to joining CIBC, James spent over two decades at HSBC in a variety of roles across their global energy and infrastructure platform. He has spent time living/working in Hong Kong, London and Dubai before moving to the U.S, bringing a wealth of international experience. He has worked in both advisory and lending capacities across the capital stack in every major infrastructure sector (Renewables, Conventional Power, Midstream, LNG, Petrochemicals, P3/PPP). Prior to leaving HSBC, he led their U.S. renewables business with significant product innovation which included buildout of a tax equity practice.
