Biography
Karsten is Regional Head of AGCS’ Alternative Risk Transfer business in the Americas. He provides weather risk mitigation strategies to their corporate clients with a focus on renewable energy. Karsten has closed many innovative, award-winning transactions such as issuing a weather bond in 2016 and arranging proxy revenue swaps for wind farm and solar park clients.Prior to joining Allianz, Karsten was at UBS building an insurance linked securities business and executing many first-in-class securitization, project and lease finance transactions.Karsten holds an Undergraduate Degree in Economics from University of Konstanz, Germany, a Master’s degree in Business from University of Zurich, and a Master’s in Law from Fordham University’s School of Law.
