PPA Partnerships

Published on 25th April 2017, in association with US renewable energy company Apex Clean Energy, this report explores the opportunities of power purchase agreements for small- and medium-sized electricity users.

About this report

We have seen a host of blue-chip firms using wind energy in recent years: Amazon, Google, Ikea, Mars, Microsoft and more. This makes it look like power purchase agreements are only for multinationals.

But this is not the case. In our 'PPA Partnerships' report we look at the potential that PPAs of less than 50MW offer to both energy users and wind farm investors.

The report includes insights from Apex Clean Energy's Steve Vavrik and Melissa Peterson, who share their personal first-hand experiences of structuring deals. We analyse the different types of PPA and explain the complexities of these deals and how to overcome them.

We look at how sub-50MW PPAs help users meet their corporate sustainability goals and learn from corporate power purchasors Avery Dennison and Steelcase in two exclusive case studies.

And, of course, we give investors insight into how sub-50MW PPAs can support their growth plans.
