About this report
In honour of International Women’s Day, we have published our first Women’s Power List, in partnership with renewable energy finance specialist Green Giraffe. In this special report, we celebrate the contribution of women to the continued growth and success of the wind industry around the world.
It is no secret that there is a gender imbalance in the wind industry. This is a trait that wind shares with other parts of the energy and financial services industries, and we don’t pretend we can change that. What we can do, however, is mark the achievements of the top women working in wind – and hopefully inspire more talented individuals to enter the sector.
That is our plan, and it follows in the footsteps of our annual flagship Top 100 Power People report, published in November 2016 for the fifth time; and our Legal Power List, out in June 2016.
This report provides insight into the women who carry the greatest influence within the industry, or their particular part of it, those who conclude the biggest deals and investments and those who lead the biggest and most successful businesses and organisations in wind.
