Carlos Martin
Carlos has worked in the energy sector for more than 15 years. As Director for Floating Wind at EDP Renewables (EDPR)based in Madrid, he was responsible for the WindFloat Atlantic project successfully achieving FID in 2017. This 25MW project off the coast of Portugal was the first floating wind project to secure a project finance structure.
Before joining EDPR, he worked for 8 years at McKinsey & Company in the energy practice leading projects in a variety of topics including growth strategy, procurement, operational excellence,M&A, IPO, etc.
Prior to founding BlueFloat Energy he wasGeneral Manager, Europe and Asia at Prosegur.
Carlos is an Adjunct Professor of Strategy at IE Business School in Madrid.
He holds an MBA from Insead and a MSc. inCivil Engineering from ENPC (Paris) and UPM (Madrid).
