Biography
Carlos has workedin the energy sector for more than 15 years. As Director for Floating Wind atEDP Renewables (EDPR) based in Madrid, he was responsible for the WindFloatAtlantic project successfully achieving FID in 2017. This 25MW project off thecoast of Portugal was the first floating wind project to secure a projectfinance structure. Before joining EDPR, he worked for 8 years at McKinsey &Company in the energy practice leading projects in a variety of topicsincluding growth strategy, procurement, operational excellence, M&A, IPO,etc. Prior to founding BlueFloat Energy he was General Manager, Europe and Asiaat Prosegur. Carlos is an Adjunct Professor of Strategy at IE Business Schoolin Madrid. He holds an MBA from Insead and a MSc. in Civil Engineering fromENPC (Paris) and UPM (Madrid).
