Biography

Delivering clean, green electricity to homes and businesses is the key objective of ScottishPower Renewables, under the direction of Lindsay McQuade, appointed February 2018. Lindsay is responsible for the financial performance of ScottishPower Renewables fleet of over 2GW of generation plant, including wind, hydro and solar, as well as developing new and innovative approaches to how renewable generation can participate in energy markets. Prior to her appointment as Chief Executive Office, Lindsay was the Policy & Innovation Director of ScottishPower Renewables, having held a number of strategic roles across ScottishPower since joining in 1999. She’s also held roles in British Energy plc, Stakis, plc, and Clydesdale Bank plc.

Lindsay is also a board director of Renewable UK and Scottish Renewables, helping to shape and inform the policy and regulatory environment for deployment and integration of cost-effective, low carbon, renewable generation across the UK, as well as promoting the industrial benefits delivered renewable generation located in all parts of the UK. She holds a BA(Hons) in Economics from the University of Strathclyde, qualified as an Associate Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and took part in the fourth edition of the Energising Leadership Programme in conjunction with ESADE Business School.
